It's So Hot My Head Hurts - It's the Pressure You See

It's hot just about everywhere right now, even in a cold climate it's hot.
The heat is caused by pressure, the pressure of :
The world we have crafted for ourselves, with it's cultural norms and endless red tape is a pressure cooker and people are running to keep up with life.
Many years ago I wrote a poem and the last line was:
"I'll keep on running trying to be free, I'll keep on running until time catches up with me"
When time has caught up, your time is up so the race is truely on. Today however I am feeling the heat and rather than running forward I am merely chasing my tail. If you are also chasing your tail, take a day off from the race, that's what I plan to do!
The heat is caused by pressure, the pressure of :
- Trying to make ends meet
- Trying to keep up with peers
- Trying to keep family life on an even keel
- Trying to keep your children safe and out of trouble
- Trying to not break many of the new laws designed to make us all criminals
- Trying to keep partners happy, comfortable and fulfiilled
- Trying to educate yourself about a rapidly changing technological world
- Trying not to fall backwards when everything takes such an effort to push forward
- Trying not to let your efforts so far unravel

*** That is so true Leah. Some day you and I may be considered a terrorist because we fed our Grandkids McDonald's rather than a home cooked meal.Indeed, they're talking about on the spot fines for all manner of things in the UK. God forbid a sweet wrapper flies out your car when the window is open...the spies in the skies will forward a fine. There is no end to the amount of 'fear' the governments are instilling in their people reagrding 'general movement'!
I like the line that states that the new laws are designed to make us all criminals. Aint it the truth, aint it the truth! LOL. God bless.
