Despite some rocky press and a severe case of nerves the seventeen yr old 'Diva- in -the -making' Cher Lloyd has made it through to the live shows of the X Factor now showing in the UK.
I really enjoyed Cher Lloyd's audition not so much because she sang well (which she did) but because she was very expressive and really gave a charismatic performance that knocked spots off the competition who were like planks of wood in comparison. Cher Lloyd was criticized by some for 'pulling faces' during her audition but those faces are what made her performance rock and I really hope that her mentor Cheryl Cole doesn't force her to drop that unique aspect of her live performances.
In the meantime I have drawn a quick cartoon caricature of Cher Lloyd capturing her 'expressiveness' which I feel myself does little justice to this very pretty girl, but that is the nature of the caricature! They're not so much intended to flatter as to exaggerate. Anyway, I hope you like it regardless. Apologies in advance to Cher Lloyd fans who feel the cartoon caricature doesn't compliment her good looks!
