The Scary Spider
I sat by the fire
And a spider appeared.
It poked out an eye
And then it reared!
It was really ugly
If you know what I mean.
I didn't want to complain
Or make a scene.
But when I saw
Half a dozen more,
I felt really sick,urgh
And I fell to the floor.
I sat by the fire
And a spider appeared.
It poked out an eye
And then it reared!
It was really ugly
If you know what I mean.
I didn't want to complain
Or make a scene.
But when I saw
Half a dozen more,
I felt really sick,urgh
And I fell to the floor.
The Sleepy Croc
There once was a crocodile
Who lived by the stream.
He fell to sleep
And had a wonderful dream.
He dreamt he could fly,
He dreamt he could dance.
He dreamt he met a pretty girl croc
And had a lovely romance
These poems and illustrations were written and drawn by me for my children aged 6 and 7yrs. The scary spider poem I actually wrote (in part) 27yrs ago! I have updated the poem and added the picture so that my daughter can recite it as part of a school project.
